This article is inspired by the research and discoveries of Dr. Gerald Pollack, professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington and an international leader in the field of water research. Below we will take a look at some of water's more mysterious properties, which have been overlooked or ignored by mainstream science.
As it turns out, water is more than merely ice, steam and liquid. It is more complex, adaptive and certainly not always the same stable H20 all the time. It can act like a battery, a capacitor and transducer of energy. It can hold memory, has healing powers and change its properties in accordance with its environment and source. In essence, it's a bit more powerful and enigmatic than we've been led to believe.
Water (like all things in the universe) does not exist in isolation to its environment and depending on where it is and what it is interacting with, it can morph and shift its structure.
"Energy converts ordinary bulk water into ordered water, building an ordered zone or 'EZ' water."
Dr. Gerald Pollack
Water can transduce energy. When exposed to the radiance and heat of the sun water
changes its molecular structure. Water is also affected by certain surfaces which are known as "hydrophilic" or water loving. Both of these conditions have the capacity to energize the water which results in changes its molecular structure. "Energized" water can transform from amorphous water into an ordered liquid crystalline lattice, which is known as 4th phase or "EZ" water. The molecules of this type of water are no longer the familiar H20, but become H302.
Dr. Pollack found that all wave-lengths ranging from ultraviolet through visible to infrared can build this ordered water, with near-infrared being the most capable.
Water shows a marked ability to absorb infrared energy from nature and uses that energy to convert "regular" water into liquid crystalline water. (4th phase water or "EZ" water.) "EZ"refers to “exclusion zone” because this energized water excludes solutes or substances which dissolve in water. This makes EZ or 4th phase water naturally pure.

Water and Health
If you are fortunate, you many have heard the advice to "drink more water" if sick or ill.
In the classic book, Your Body's Many Cries for Water: You are not sick you are Thirsty, this advice is confirmed by the physician Ferydoon Batmanghelidj. The author documents years of clinical practice demonstrating the reversal of many illnesses just by drinking more water. Hydration is crucial! And how simple can it be?
This physician's experience is also linked to evidence of healing from sacred healing waters such as the famous Lourdes Spring in France or the Ganges River, the pilgrimage site of millions world wide. These types of special healing waters often come from deep under-ground springs or from glacial melt which have been pressurized by hydrophilic surfaces, thus being converted to EZ water. EZ water is of a higher density than bulk water, and thus more hydrating. Spring water with natural healing properties have traditionally been attributed to its specialized mineral content, but may also be due its high EZ content. Could EZ or liquid crystal water be the secret of these holy watery sites and the healing of millions of pilgrims over the centuries?
Are Human beings and Water Neutral?
Humans are considered to carry a neutral charge by mainstream science, but Dr. Pollack leans toward suggesting that we bear a net negative charge. Chemists presume that "systems tend toward neutrality" because positive charge attracts negative charge.
Humans are one of those “systems,” and so it is generally assumed that the body must be neutral. However Dr. Pollack points out that not all systems are neutral. The earth bears net negative charge, while the atmosphere is positively charged. Cells, which make up 60% of our body mass, are negatively charged. Extracellular tissues such as collagen and elastin are proteins which bear a negative charge and absorb EZ water which is negatively charged. Substances with a positive charge are commonly expelled by the body, such as: urine, sweat, CO2 or carbonic acid. The body is always tending toward a negative charge.
This demonstrates not only that our body bears net negative charge, but also that it makes every effort to maintain that negativity by ridding itself of protons. The maintenance of negative charge seems to be the tendency of life itself. Plants do it easily by connecting directly to the earth.
The benefits of antioxidants in our diet further illustrate our body’s need to maintain a "negative" homeostasis. The chemical process of "reduction" being the gain of electrons, and "oxidation" the loss there of. Oxidation strips molecules of their negative charge and characterizes the aging process or entropy. Antioxidants and negatively charged EZ water feed us with negative charge and can help keep us healthy and hydrated.
