Molecular Hydrogen~King of Antioxidants?

If you're paying attention in the natural health world, you've likely come across the buzz around molecular hydrogen and the many health benefits of molecular hydrogen. You may have heard about hydrogen tablets, making hydrogen water in a hydrogen generator or even simply inhaling it.

It's taken some time, but finally it has sunk into the collective consciousness that we need antioxidants.

Normally associated with certain foods and herbs, antioxidants perform the crucial function of neutralizing or "quenching" free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules which stabilize themselves by stealing electrons from healthy cells, damaging them in the process. The more pollution and environmental toxicity we are exposed to, as well as unhealthy lifestyle habits, the higher our need for antioxidants.

Actually, antioxidants help everyone, because who doesn't want accelerated cellular repair and cellular regeneration? Who doesn't want to slow down or reverse the aging (or entropy) process?

By now, most people are familiar with berries, green superfoods such as spirulina and green tea as potent antioxidants. However there is a new trend sweeping the collective....one which is possibly the most amazing due to its simplicity.

Enter H2 or molecular hydrogen.

Hydrogen, the very lightest on the periodic table of elements is a neutral gas with a molecular structure so small it is able to penetrate cell membranes and cross the blood brain barrier. This endows hydrogen with amazing cell and DNA protective abilities. Molecular H2 does this by offering one of its electrons to stabilize the unstable (toxin) molecule which is ready, willing and able to pull apart your cells to stabilize itself. One way to look at it is that toxins in your system actually have a parasitic effect on your body....breaking it down so it the toxin (free radical molecule) can live.

The good news is that with an abundance of free hydrogen and other antioxidants available in your internal landscape (AKA biological terrain), your cells are spared and your normal cellular processes of repair and even regeneration are allowed to continue as nature intended.

There are different ways to imbibe molecular hydrogen:

  1. hydrogen tablets

  2. hydrogen water

  3. inhaled hydrogen

Many of the water generators actually come with inhalation accessories and can be used both ways. There are also (cutting edge) hand held hydrogen inhalers available.

Here is a (by no means comprehensive) list of hydrogen benefits:

  1. Hydrogen is an antioxidant

  2. Hydrogen reduces inflammation and can reduce pain

  3. Hydrogen boosts glutathione production (glutathione is known as the master antioxidant

  4. Hydrogen can assist sports recovery time and speed muscle repair

  5. Hydrogen can balance your body's pH, making you more alkaline

  6. Hydrogen is neuro-protective

  7. Hydrogen can modulate (boost) immune function

  8. Hydrogen can increase energy levels through boosting mitochondria

  9. Protects your DNA and cells from damage

  10. Anti-aging effects!

  11. Can calm allergic reactions

Still feeling skeptical? Don't believe me! Here are some links to do your own research.
